About
We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our operations in San Jose, California. This role is critical for the seamless flow of materials within our facility, supporting our broader logistics objectives. You will be responsible for a range of duties, including operating forklifts and other heavy machinery, receiving and dispatching goods, organizing inventory, and ensuring the efficient movement of products. Safety is our top priority, and all employees are expected to rigorously follow safety standards and wear designated PPE. This physically demanding position requires the ability to handle frequent lifting and prolonged periods of standing and maneuvering. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from various points within the warehouse.
- Accurately track inventory movement and ensure proper storage.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Strictly adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
- Wear and maintain all required PPE.
- Assist with order picking and fulfillment as directed.
- Practice safe lifting techniques to prevent injuries.
- Support the overall logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator. Valid forklift certification. Proven ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics. Excellent understanding of safety procedures. Must be able to work a flexible schedule if needed. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic. This role requires continuous vigilance regarding safety and the correct application of PPE.
