We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement of materials within our warehouse facility. Your primary duties will involve loading and unloading trucks, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring inventory accuracy. This position demands physical stamina and a keen eye for detail to maintain smooth warehouse operations. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere to all company safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a warehouse environment, a strong understanding of logistics processes, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Move materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with order picking and packing as needed.
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines, including proper lifting techniques.
- Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure it is in good working order.
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to optimize workflow.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Experience in material handling or a related field is preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is a plus. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Commitment to safety and attention to detail are essential. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic. This role requires the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Understanding of general logistics principles is beneficial.
