We are looking for an efficient and detail-oriented Order Picker to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your precision and speed are vital to our customer satisfaction and overall logistics efficiency. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to upholding our high safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order tickets.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring no damage occurs during transit.
- Operate manual and powered equipment such as pallet jacks and order pickers.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace, free of obstructions.
- Adhere strictly to all safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet established picking quotas and performance metrics.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory or orders to supervisors immediately.
- Participate in ongoing training related to warehouse operations and safety.
- Perform any other duties as required to support the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a warehouse environment is beneficial.
- Ability to interpret order tickets and product labels accurately.
- Capable of regular lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety best practices and general logistics operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong sense of responsibility and a proactive attitude.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality.
