Join our innovative team in Austin, Texas, as a Warehouse Technician! This specialized role focuses on maintaining the operational integrity of our warehouse equipment and infrastructure. You will be responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of machinery, conveyor systems, and other critical warehouse tools. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is essential, as is a commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position is vital for ensuring the smooth functioning of our logistics operations and preventing downtime. We seek individuals with a keen eye for detail and a problem-solving mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Install and set up new equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and utilize appropriate PPE.
- Assist in implementing preventative maintenance programs.
- Support overall logistics operations by ensuring equipment reliability.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in a relevant field preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician in an industrial or warehouse setting.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing various types of machinery.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and hazards.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is beneficial.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
