About
We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods to and from various departments, operating material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring materials are properly stored. Maintaining a clean and organized workspace is essential for efficient operations and workplace safety. You will work closely with other members of the warehouse and logistics staff to ensure timely processing of goods. Adherence to all safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE is mandatory. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who enjoys a physically active role and wants to contribute to the smooth operation of a key logistics hub.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility.
- Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper organization and stock rotation.
- Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to safety standards.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Support the logistics team in achieving operational goals.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
- Valid forklift certification is preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Good physical stamina and dexterity.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to safety and willingness to wear required PPE.
- Reliability and good work ethic.
