About
Seeking a dependable Material Handler for our warehouse in Boise, Idaho. This role is critical for maintaining the smooth flow of materials within our logistics facility. You will be responsible for safely moving, stocking, and retrieving various materials and products. The ideal candidate will have experience with material handling equipment and a strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina and a commitment to efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move, load, and unload materials.
- Stock and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Retrieve materials for production or shipping orders accurately and efficiently.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Understand and implement proper lifting techniques.
- Support the overall logistics operations of the warehouse.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial trucks required.
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety procedures.
- Familiarity with inventory control practices.
- Excellent physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
