We are hiring Picker/Packers for our busy distribution center in Indianapolis, Indiana. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using a handheld scanner or pick list.
- Inspect picked items for any damage or defects.
- Package items securely and efficiently, ensuring they are ready for shipment.
- Select appropriate packaging materials for different types of orders.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere strictly to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and restocking shelves as needed.
- Perform frequent lifting of items, which may weigh up to 50 pounds.
- Support the overall logistics and fulfillment process.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience as a picker/packer or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous. Ability to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions. Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds consistently. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets. Good teamwork and communication skills are necessary. Familiarity with warehouse equipment and scanning technology is a plus. Commitment to contributing positively to our logistics team.
