Seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. Responsibilities:
  • Generate and verify shipping labels and documentation for all outgoing orders.
  • Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers (e.g., FedEx, UPS, USPS, LTL).
  • Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers as needed.
  • Inspect outgoing packages for accuracy and damage before dispatch.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shipping station and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Assist in receiving and processing incoming shipments when necessary.
  • Keep accurate records of all shipping activities and inventory movements.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and requirements, including the use of appropriate PPE.
  • Communicate effectively with carriers and internal departments to resolve any shipping issues.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk or in a related logistics role.
  • Proficiency with shipping software and carrier portals.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Familiarity with shipping regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Understanding of the importance of safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Basic knowledge of lifting and material handling techniques.
  • Good problem-solving and communication abilities.
