About
We are actively recruiting a skilled Material Handler for our Provo, Utah distribution center. This role is essential for maintaining the efficient flow of materials throughout our facility, supporting both production and distribution needs. You will be responsible for operating various pieces of equipment to move, stage, and organize materials, ensuring inventory accuracy and timely delivery to respective areas. Safety is our top priority, and this position requires a deep understanding and strict adherence to all Safety protocols, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and supplies between different warehouse zones.
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas, ensuring proper stacking and placement.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment to ensure operational readiness and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock verification.
- Stage materials accurately for production or outbound shipping.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper use and care of all mandated PPE.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, free from hazards.
- Support Logistics team in achieving operational goals and timelines.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role, with forklift certification highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to handle significant physical demands, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse Safety standards and practices.
- Knowledge of material handling techniques and Logistics principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
