We're seeking an organized and diligent Shipping Clerk to join our team in sunny Orlando, Florida. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for dispatch. Your duties will include verifying orders, selecting appropriate packaging materials, accurately labeling shipments, and coordinating with carriers for timely pickups. This role requires excellent attention to detail to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. You will work closely with the warehouse team to maintain an efficient workflow and ensure that all shipments meet our quality standards. Maintaining a safe and organized shipping area is crucial, and this may involve some Lifting and the consistent use of PPE , such as safety vests and gloves. Understanding the principles of Logistics and supply chain management is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for outgoing orders.
- Pack orders securely using appropriate materials.
- Verify order details and product counts before shipment.
- Generate and affix accurate shipping labels and documentation.
- Stage outgoing shipments for carrier pickup.
- Coordinate with shipping carriers to schedule pickups and manage delivery timelines.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area.
- Follow all company Safety protocols and wear required PPE .
- Update shipping records in the warehouse management system.
- Handle tasks involving moderate Lifting .
- Support the overall efficiency of Logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment preferred.
- Proficiency with computers and data entry; experience with shipping software is a plus.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting (up to 30 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and Logistics .
- Commitment to workplace Safety and proper use of PPE .
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
