We are hiring a Material Handler for our expanding warehouse operations in Detroit, Michigan. This role is fundamental to our logistics success, ensuring that materials are moved, organized, and staged efficiently. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a high standard of Safety. Responsibilities:
- Receiving, checking, and storing incoming materials.
- Loading and unloading goods from trucks and containers.
- Using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts to move materials.
- Organizing and stacking inventory in designated areas.
- Picking and preparing materials for production or shipment.
- Conducting routine checks on equipment and reporting maintenance needs.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly work environment.
- Following all Safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Assisting with inventory counts and stocktaking.
- Supporting other warehouse functions as needed to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a material handling or warehouse role is a strong asset.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring physical strength and stamina, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and basic logistics concepts.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all guidelines.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
- Experience with forklift operation is a plus.
