Our dynamic logistics center in St. Louis, Missouri, is looking for a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dedicated team. In this essential role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and stack materials within our warehouse. Your expertise will ensure the smooth flow of goods, supporting our supply chain operations. We prioritize a safe working environment, and you will play a key part in upholding these standards. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials.
- Load and unload goods from trucks and trailers, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate records of material movement and inventory locations.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts and stock organization.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse personnel to optimize logistics operations.
- Be prepared for tasks that may require moderate lifting in addition to forklift operation.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and efficiency in all warehouse activities.
Qualifications:
Valid forklift operator certification or license. Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or logistics environment. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and forklift operation best practices. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Strong attention to detail. Reliability and punctuality. This role is critical to our logistics operations and requires a safety-conscious and skilled individual.
