Responsibilities:
- Generate and apply shipping labels accurately to packages.
- Verify order information against shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare bills of lading and other shipping documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for shipment pickups and tracking.
- Maintain organized records of all outgoing shipments.
- Communicate with internal departments regarding shipping status.
- Assist in managing shipping supplies and inventory.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Perform occasional lifting and moving of packages.
- Support overall warehouse logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a shipping clerk or in a related logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency in shipping software and general computer skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of shipping procedures and carrier requirements.
- Understanding of safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to perform moderate lifting.
- Good communication skills.
