We are seeking a motivated Order Picker to join our distribution center in San Antonio, Texas. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment, directly impacting customer satisfaction. Your primary responsibility will be to efficiently pick products from warehouse shelves according to customer orders, utilizing scanning technology and order sheets. This fast-paced position requires a sharp eye for detail, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to upholding our high standards of operational excellence. You will navigate the warehouse, locate specific items, and ensure they are ready for the packing and shipping departments. Strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring the accuracy of each order. Safety is our top priority; you will be expected to adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from designated warehouse locations based on order slips or scanning equipment.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Transport picked items to the designated packing or staging area.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including aisles and pick locations.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Perform duties efficiently to meet order fulfillment deadlines.
- Handle products with care to prevent damage during the picking process.
- Support overall logistics operations and team objectives.
- Regularly perform lifting of items up to a specified weight.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking or warehouse operations is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand order forms and product labels.
- Basic math skills for quantity verification.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety guidelines and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Good communication skills.
