Seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our busy warehouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. This position is crucial for the efficient movement of goods within our facility. The ideal candidate will operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to load, unload, transport, and stack materials. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to move materials.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Stack and arrange materials in designated storage areas.
- Perform pre-operation checks on forklifts to ensure they are in good working order.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, prioritizing safety .
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts as needed.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations.
- Ability to perform tasks involving lifting and maneuvering heavy loads.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics .
- Excellent understanding of forklift safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including some lifting and extended periods of standing.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Experience using and understanding PPE .
