We are looking for a dependable Material Handler to join our bustling logistics hub in Washington, D.C. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement, organization, and management of materials within our warehouse. Your primary duties will involve operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring that materials are stored safely and efficiently. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and arrange materials in a safe and orderly manner.
- Conduct daily inspections of material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE .
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counting.
- Support overall Logistics operations and workflow.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or operating warehouse equipment.
- Valid forklift certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical labor, including frequent Lifting of up to 60 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and material handling techniques.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and the proper use of PPE .
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with Logistics principles is beneficial.
