Your duties will encompass receiving, storing, and preparing goods for distribution, ensuring the smooth flow of our logistics chain. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting, and requires careful attention to detail to maintain accurate inventory and prevent damage to goods. You will be an integral part of a team dedicated to operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials and shipments.
- Sort and organize materials, placing them in designated storage locations.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, with proficiency and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring all items are accounted for.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse environment.
- Conduct regular checks of inventory levels and report any discrepancies.
- Follow all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery trucks.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and meet operational deadlines.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process through careful material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to perform tasks involving substantial Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and inventory management systems.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when necessary.
- Good communication skills.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and task completion.
- Willingness to adhere to all company policies concerning safety and logistics.
