About
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our innovative team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse equipment and facilities. Your duties will include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring that all machinery operates optimally. A strong understanding of mechanical systems and a commitment to preventative maintenance are essential. This position is critical for supporting our extensive logistics operations and ensuring the continuous flow of goods. You will work closely with the warehouse team to address any technical issues that may impact productivity. Adherence to strict safety protocols, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is paramount. While the role is primarily technical, there may be instances requiring manual dexterity and occasional lifting up to 40 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on warehouse equipment (e.g., conveyors, forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain a log of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Conduct regular safety checks of the warehouse environment.
- Ensure compliance with all company safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Assist logistics personnel with equipment-related challenges.
- Manage spare parts inventory for maintenance purposes.
- Contribute to process improvements for equipment reliability.
- Perform occasional lifting and manual tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Technician, Maintenance Mechanic, or similar role.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems common in warehouses.
- Familiarity with logistics equipment and operations.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
- Ability to read technical manuals and diagrams.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and occasional lifting.
