Job Summary:
Join our thriving logistics hub in Chicago, Illinois, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate. This key role supports the efficient flow of goods into and out of our warehouse. You will be instrumental in processing incoming shipments, verifying order accuracy, stocking inventory, and preparing outgoing orders for dispatch. Responsibilities include operating forklifts and pallet jacks, managing shipping documentation, and ensuring that all products are handled with care to prevent damage. Adherence to company safety policies and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is essential. This position requires the ability to perform heavy lifting, often exceeding 50 pounds, and the stamina to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and invoices.
  • Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
  • Stock received items in appropriate warehouse locations.
  • Pick, pack, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and proper packaging.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with regular cycle counts.
  • Coordinate with shipping carriers and truck drivers.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe working environment, adhering to all safety regulations and PPE requirements.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, including support for logistics operations.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to handle frequent lifting of items up to 50-75 pounds.
  • Knowledge of logistics and inventory management principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE.
