Job Summary:
We have an immediate opening for a skilled Forklift Operator in Dallas, Texas. This role is essential for the efficient and safe movement of materials within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, relocating inventory, and supporting various warehouse operations. A commitment to safety, precision, and teamwork is crucial for this position within our logistics framework.
Responsibilities:
  • Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
  • Perform daily inspections of forklifts to ensure they are in safe working condition and report any defects.
  • Transport goods from receiving to storage areas, and from storage to shipping docks.
  • Verify that materials loaded or unloaded match shipping and receiving documents.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace, ensuring safety compliance.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Follow specific lifting and handling instructions for different types of materials.
  • Participate actively in all required safety training and promote a culture of safety.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely order fulfillment.
  • Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counting and put-away operations.
  • Perform other warehouse duties as needed to support the overall logistics operation.

Qualifications:
  • Certified forklift operator with proven experience in an industrial or warehouse setting.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate various types of forklifts safely and efficiently.
  • Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and logistics operations.
  • Ability to perform lifting tasks, including handling items up to 50 lbs.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and situational awareness.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, and operate machinery for extended periods.
  • Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours if needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
