About
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician for our Virginia Beach, Virginia location. This role is vital for maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our warehouse facility. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, minor repairs, and ensuring all equipment and systems are functioning optimally. A strong understanding of warehouse equipment, safety procedures, and logistics operations is essential. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys problem-solving and keeping a busy environment running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, conveyor systems, and racking.
- Conduct minor repairs and troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions.
- Inspect warehouse facilities for safety hazards and ensure compliance with all regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop and storage areas for tools and parts.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed, including the proper use of PPE.
- Understand and implement safe lifting techniques and material handling procedures.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to address maintenance issues promptly.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of spare parts.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse maintenance or a related technical field.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems common in warehouses.
- Understanding of safety regulations in a logistics environment.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
