Job Summary:
Seeking a proactive Shipping & Receiving Associate for our Durham, North Carolina facility. This role is vital for managing the incoming and outgoing flow of goods, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions. You will be responsible for documenting shipments, preparing items for dispatch, and receiving and inspecting incoming deliveries. The ideal candidate is organized, possesses strong communication skills, and is committed to upholding safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Accurately receive, identify, and inspect incoming shipments.
  • Document all incoming and outgoing goods using the company's inventory system.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including labeling, packaging, and staging.
  • Operate forklifts and other equipment safely to move materials.
  • Verify quantities and quality of goods received against purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
  • Ensure the shipping and receiving areas are clean, organized, and safe.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Handle various lifting requirements, including boxes and pallets, often up to 50 pounds.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to stand, walk, lift, and carry materials for extended periods. Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems. Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Commitment to accuracy and efficiency in logistics processes.
