We are seeking a certified and experienced Forklift Operator for our busy warehouse in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement of goods, ensuring materials are transported safely and accurately throughout the facility. Your expertise with various forklift types and your commitment to Safety will be key to this role. Responsibilities:
- Operating forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, load, unload, and stack materials.
- Safely transporting goods to and from various locations within the warehouse, including staging areas and storage racks.
- Performing routine inspections of forklifts and associated equipment before and after use, documenting any issues.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and company policies, including traffic rules within the warehouse and proper use of PPE.
- Assisting with inventory management, order picking, and packing as needed.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles and pathways remain clear.
- Identifying and reporting any safety hazards or operational inefficiencies.
- Collaborating with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and meet production targets.
- Handling materials with care to prevent damage and ensure accuracy.
- Participating in training sessions to stay updated on best practices in forklift operation and Safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with inventory management and logistics principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to all regulations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and punctuality.
