About
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our advanced logistics facility in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is critical for maintaining the operational integrity and efficiency of our warehouse equipment and systems. Responsibilities include performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, and implementing preventative measures to ensure optimal performance. You will work with various types of warehouse machinery, including conveyors, sorters, and automated systems, as well as material handling equipment. A strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is essential. Safety is paramount in our operations; therefore, strict adherence to all Safety regulations and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, a proactive approach to maintenance, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Experience in a technical role within a logistics or manufacturing environment is highly preferred. Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of all equipment and work areas.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure all equipment operates in compliance with Safety standards.
- Properly use and maintain required PPE during all tasks.
- Assist in the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Provide technical support to warehouse operations staff.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in warehouse logistics and efficiency.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical certification or degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Warehouse Technician, or similar role.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform moderate to heavy Lifting as needed.
- Familiarity with warehouse automation and material handling equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of Safety procedures in an industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to urgent repair needs.
- Proficiency in using tools and diagnostic equipment.
