About
As a Senior Program Manager (SPM), the SPM focuses on leading complex projects from initiation to closure, overseeing scope, budget, and timelines while managing cross-functional teams, mitigating risks, and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction. Key duties include strategic planning, resource allocation, process improvement, reporting to executives, and mentoring junior PMs, requiring strong leadership, communication.
Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables; create detailed plans, schedules, and budgets; track progress and manage resources.
Stakeholder & Team Management: Communicate regularly with stakeholders and executives; lead, motivate, and mentor project teams; resolve issues; manage vendors.
Risk & Quality: Implement risk management plans; ensure quality standards and compliance; report on performance and risks.
Process Improvement: Contribute to maturing project management methodologies; utilize project management tools (e.g., DevOps).
Business Development: Assist with proposals, RFPs, and estimates.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Project Management : Planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, Agile/Waterfall methodologies.
Leadership: Team motivation, conflict resolution, strategic thinking, decision-making.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for all levels, facilitation.
Tools: Proficiency with project management software, strong analytical abilities.
Experience: Proven track record with complex projects, managing multiple initiatives, and senior-level reporting.
Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in project management, business management, or related area of study.
10-15 years of experience as a Project Manager or similar role.
Experience in managing delivery of customer-facing products or services.
PMI or PMP certification or similar from an accredited organization.
Aviation industry experience.
