One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
We are currently seeking a 1 FTE Administrative Assistant who is responsible for providing administrative functions that will support the management team and Centre operations.
The position has a competitive salary, option to join Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), and an excellent group health benefits package.
The salary range for this position is from $46,987 to $53,357 per year. We currently do not use AI to screen resumes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Post-secondary education in business administration, or a combination of educational preparation and applicable experience.
- Minimum three years' experience as an Administrative Assistant, Senior Executive Assistant or in other secretarial position.
- Knowledge of and advanced level of proficiency working with office management systems, procedures, planning and time management.
- Experience taking accurate meeting minutes that reflect discussions and actions to be taken.
- Proficient with Windows based computer systems, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint applications.
- Self-directed with strong organizational, analytical and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize daily workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Discretion with personal and confidential information.
- High level of professionalism and diplomacy with the ability to stay calm in high-stress situations.
- Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills.
- Awareness of and sensitivity to health issues particularly within populations who face barriers to accessing care (under housed, living with mental health challenges or diagnoses, current or past substance use, complex health histories, 2SLGBTQI+, newcomers, non-insured).
- Access to a vehicle and a valid driver's license are preferred.
