Your future role on our team
The BBA Field Services team is looking for new team members who enjoy technical challenges, problem-solving and delivering exceptional client service. Ideally, you live within 100 km of Fort St. John, B.C., and can work independently while also collaborating with the team to share knowledge and build strong relationships that support the growth and expansion of Field Services in the Western Canada region.

Perform maintenance on protection, control and high-voltage equipment
Carry out maintenance on microwave, network and communication systems
Support service centre operations, including organizing testing equipment, managing ongoing repairs and maintaining device inventories
Help build strong business relationships and develop high-quality professional services
Apply and carry out established work methods and provide input to help improve them
Work closely with coworkers, clients and partners to deliver quality services
Follow, review and carry out safety procedures and criteria
Help execute detailed engineering projects
Draft technical documents, commissioning reports, calculation notes and estimates

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements
Working toward either a bachelor's degree or technical diploma (technologist) in one of the following areas: electrical engineering, telecommunications or any other relevant training
From 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in electrical apparatus maintenance, protection relays, telecommunications and control systems testing
Experience managing business relationships and ensuring high-quality professional services with coworkers, clients and partners
Willingness to work in operational settings and experience with brownfield sites that include industrial and utility systems
Must be comfortable working in severe weather conditions (hot and cold), driving on winter roads or forest service roads and travelling to remote locations
Must be comfortable working in remote locations with limited means of communication
Must be able to consistently lift 70 lbs kg)
Available to travel to our BBA offices across Canada
Available for short- and long-term work assignments at client sites in Canada
Asset: bilingual (English and French)
Asset: experience in power control systems for the generation and renewable energy sectors
Asset: knowledge and use of different standard communication protocols, such as DNP3, Modbus and IEC 61850, within industrial or utility applications
