Your future role on our team
This is a unique opportunity for you to work with experts and engineering professionals across Canada on interesting and challenging projects. You will serve as a technical resource and work closely with our experts, senior engineers and designers on stimulating heavy industrial projects in the mining and power sectors, including studies. This position will allow you to directly apply and develop your knowledge in structural design and stress analysis. You will be exposed to modern design tools, including 3D solid modelling and complex calculation software. As time progresses, project duties and responsibilities will increase, facilitating your registration as a professional engineer.

Prepare calculations, specifications and detail designs
Design steel and concrete structures and foundations
Supervise the production of design drawings and review contractor shop drawings
Coordinate design activities with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, etc.)
Prepare estimates, schedules and budgets, where required
Plan, organize and review work (drawings, calculations, specifications)
Perform periodic site inspections, where required
Support the preparation of formal written reports and presentations for clients
Maintain cordial, close relationships with clients or their representatives

Summary Of Certifications And Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in civil-Structural Engineering. Having a master's degree in structural engineering will be considered as an asset.
1-3 years of related experience (co-op or work experience in relevant areas)
A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
Advanced knowledge of structural analysis software (SAP2000, SFrame or equal)
Eligible for PEO registration
Proficient with CSA S16 and CSA A23.3 requirements
Ability to read drawings
Proficient with computer-based tools
Adept in written and spoken English, required to prepare reports and presentations
Experience designing steel or concrete structures (undergraduate or graduate projects acceptable)
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken)
Asset: fluent in French or Spanish

Annual base salary from $65,000 - $85,500
