About
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Houston, Texas! This is a leadership position responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and the highest standards of safety. The Warehouse Supervisor will manage a team of warehouse associates, coordinate workflows, and implement operational improvements within our logistics facility. You will be instrumental in driving productivity, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring that all warehouse activities align with company goals. Responsibilities include:
- Supervising and motivating warehouse staff to achieve performance targets.
- Coordinating daily tasks, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensuring adherence to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Monitoring inventory levels and working with management to optimize stock.
- Implementing and enforcing operational best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
- Conducting regular team meetings and providing training and development opportunities.
- Troubleshooting and resolving operational issues as they arise.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
A proven track record in warehouse supervision or management is required, along with a comprehensive understanding of logistics operations. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential. This role requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, handle employee concerns, and make sound decisions under pressure. While direct physical labor might be less frequent, an understanding of tasks involving lifting and material handling is important.
