Director, Data Governance Operations Lead Global R&D (m/f/x)
The Position:
Data Quality and Governance is a relatively new competency in Daiichi Sankyo (DS) and as such is rapidly changing, evolving and growing. Data governance consists of leading, guiding, influencing, and assisting business functions in various ways that improve data quality and consistency, democratize data in a secure and compliant manner, and encourage and empower business data stewardship. Ultimately, data quality and governance need to support management goals.
This is a Director level position and a highly visible role that will be responsible for operationalizing data quality and governance across DS Global R&D by formulating, leading, and delivering initiatives that accelerate data quality and governance across DS Global R&D, with a primary focus on the pharmaceutical development life cycle, including clinical trial execution, feasibility and site selection, data management, biostatistics, regulatory submissions, drug supply, patient recruitment and retention, and other areas of development operations. The candidate must have deep experience in some of these areas and broad familiarity with different facets of pharma development. The position also requires strong understanding of data architecture, data management, and data governance in the pharmaceutical context. The ability to collaborate, influence, and lead across Daiichi Sankyo globally are critical to success, as are excellent communication and facilitation skills and the ability to multitask across different types of inter-related data governance initiatives. A “servant leader” mindset and “forever learning” attitude are important.
