Now Hiring: Two Therapists to Join Mountain Brow Counselling (Hamilton, ON)

Mountain Brow Counselling is a growing group practice in Hamilton focused on trauma-informed, relational, and perinatal mental health care, helping clients across the lifespan and supporting the well-being of the whole family. We are seeking two part-time therapists who are looking for a long-term team home and who value collaboration, clinical excellence, and meaningful client work.

Positions Available

1. Couples Therapist (MSW or RP)
You have training and experience in couples therapy and feel confident supporting partners with communication breakdown, attachment injuries, infidelity recovery, and relational conflict. Training in modalities such as EFT, Gottman, or attachment-based approaches is required.

2. Child & Youth Therapist (MSW or RP)
You have experience working with children, teens, and families, and are comfortable supporting concerns such as anxiety, emotional regulation, school stress, behavioral challenges, and family transitions. Training in evidence-based modalities required such as CBT, CBT, ERP, Trauma-Focused Interventions. Play-based or expressive approaches are welcome and highly valued.

For both roles, the ability to offer additional specialties for adults is highly valued, including:

• Trauma-focused therapy
• Perinatal mental health
• Family therapy
• Grief and loss
• Anxiety, burnout, and high-achieving adults

Requirements

• Registered Social Worker (MSW) with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers or Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
• Professional liability insurance
• Availability for two 5-hour in-person shifts per week, including at least one evening or weekend shift. In addition, as in-person sessions are highly sought after, we require our applicants to reside within 35 kilometres of our office location. Please do not apply if you live outside this distance.
• Ability to offer virtual sessions (in addition to required in-person availability) with private space to do so and a reliable internet connection.
• Commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, and relationally grounded care
