Lead Mechanical Structures Engineer

A senior-level engineer is sought to architect, design, and implement platform-level mechanical systems from aircraft to component level. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing structural and mechanical components for critical systems including fuselage propulsion mounts landing gear system housings Selecting specifying materials such as advanced composites aluminum alloys titanium high-performance polymers based on strength weight thermal durability requirements Supporting product development from concept through detailed design prototyping testing release quality control Optimizing structures for strength stiffness fatigue thermal performance Interfacing with suppliers validate material choices manufacturing methods fabrication constraints Participating in failure investigations root cause analyses resolve issues Enforcing standards resilience continuous improvement Ensure rigorous delivery timelines Act project integrator interface between project management engineering teams Drive continuous process improvements safety efficiency
