As our client continues to expand its role in supporting Ontario's nuclear refurbishment programs, advancing new-build readiness, and strengthening Canada's nuclear supply chain, the pace, complexity, and visibility of the business continue to grow. The Chief Operating Officer plays a central role in integrating operations, strategy, and stakeholder engagement across the organization and with key partners, customers, and industry leaders.
This Executive Assistant role is critical to enabling that leadership effectiveness. By acting as an operational extension of the COO's office, the Executive Assistant helps ensure that priorities are clearly tracked, decisions are followed through, and the COO's time and focus are directed toward the highest-value activities. In doing so, the role directly supports our clients Canada's ability to execute complex programs safely, efficiently, and collaboratively contributing to the long-term success of Canada's nuclear industry and its role in delivering reliable, low-carbon energy for the country.
Demonstrated experience providing executive-level administrative support to a senior leader (COO, CEO, or equivalent), including calendar management, travel coordination, expense management, and meeting preparation in a fast-paced, complex organization.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, protect executive focus, and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
Strong judgment and discretion, with a proven ability to handle confidential, sensitive, and business-critical information with professionalism and integrity.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft, edit, review, and manage executive correspondence, presentations, and internal communications with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to capture clear, thorough, and accurate meeting notes, translate discussions into documented decisions and action items, and maintain disciplined tracking and follow-up to support execution.
Demonstrated capability to support accountability and follow-through, including proactive engagement with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to monitor progress and surface risks or delays.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint, with the ability to independently produce executive-ready materials.
Experience using modern productivity, automation, and digital tools, including AI-enabled solutions where appropriate, to streamline administrative workflows and improve efficiency.
Strong business awareness, with the ability to understand organizational context, anticipate needs, and think ahead in support of executive decision-making.
Professional presence and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to interact effectively with executives, Board members, customers, partners, and external stakeholders.
Experience working in a regulated, technical, or industrial environment (such as energy, nuclear, engineering, infrastructure, or manufacturing) considered an asset.
Ability to support domestic and international travel, scheduling, and coordination across time zones.
Self-directed working style, with demonstrated accountability, adaptability, and a continuous-improvement mindset.
