YOUR IMPACT

As Lead SAP Functional Analyst, Finance, you will play a central role in supporting the Finance organization's projects, processes, and systems while identifying opportunities for automation.  The primary responsibility will be partnering with the business owners and IT to drive Finance Projects, Enhancements and other strategic continuous improvement initiatives, as required, focusing on our SAP ERP and ancillary systems.  The Lead Functional Analyst should be familiar with overall Finance Functions within SAP (Record to Report, Order to Cash and Procure to Pay/Source to Pay, etc.) and be able to relate cross functionally within Finance and IT.

Finance Projects are typically large and complex programs composed of multiple sub projects and cross functional initiatives.  The finance team are key stakeholders in projects and the Lead Functional Analyst will have significant involvement in helping to coordinate efforts related to project management, blueprinting, requirements gathering, process design, testing, data migration, change management, and training.  This role will interact with all levels of project team members, subject matter experts, management, and leadership throughout the company.  


WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS 

  • Serve as internal point of contact for SAP Finance related enhancements and projects, providing guidance for process design and automation opportunities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional subject matter experts, stakeholders and IT to gather requirements, identify process improvement and achieve performance outcomes through optimized system and process solutions, aligning with business objectives
  • Develop awareness of cross-team dependencies to identify potential risks or conflicts 
  • Analyze current processes vs. SAP best practices and industry standards; recommend solutions that meet business requirements
  • Coordinate and develop detailed project plans where required that support Finance Projects and include items such as: defining requirements, milestones, budget, deliverables, and success metrics
  • Assist in data migration efforts for legacy systems and ensure completeness and accuracy of data transfer
  • Assist in the design and execution of UAT testing plans and help coordinate change management processes and training material
  • Report to key stakeholders and team members on project status and progress including managing project expectations


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or information systems is required
  • 5-10+ years' experience with SAP implementation, configuration, and automation in a Finance functional role is required
  • Some direct experience in a finance business role including CPA designation is preferred
  • Experience working on large cross-functional initiatives and coordinating between business and IT teams
  • Proven ability to lead workshops, gather requirements, propose solutions and communicate with senior finance stakeholders
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across disciplines
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations; drive processes that may be indirectly related to the project but require management to reach the larger project goal
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others

Skills Beneficial to the role:

  • Lean Six Sigma certification or knowledge
  • PMP Project Management certification
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of a project lifecycle
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Value Edge or other tools used to track projects and testing
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we're happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range: $80,780 - $130,780; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
