Location: Winnipeg, MB

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established general contractor currently delivering a major office tower upgrade project in Winnipeg. This is a large-scale renovation focused on modernizing building systems, interior spaces, and overall functionality within an active commercial environment.

They are seeking an experienced Site Superintendent to lead on-site operations and ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.


Role Overview

The Site Superintendent will be responsible for day-to-day site management, coordinating trades, maintaining schedules, and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within project specifications. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and experience managing complex renovation work in an occupied commercial building.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily on-site construction activities for the office tower upgrade

  • Coordinate and schedule subcontractors, trades, and deliveries

  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and milestones

  • Maintain a safe work environment and enforce all safety policies and procedures

  • Conduct site meetings, inspections, and quality control checks

  • Work closely with the Project Manager to address issues, changes, and scheduling needs

  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and building codes

  • Communicate effectively with building management, tenants, and project stakeholders

  • Maintain site documentation including daily reports and site records


Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Site Superintendent on commercial construction or renovation projects

  • Experience working in occupied or operational buildings is a strong asset

  • Strong understanding of commercial construction practices, scheduling, and trade coordination

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and schedule performance
