Position: Logistics Coordinator 

Location: Leduc 
Reports to: Logistics Operations Manager  

Department: Logistics

We're looking for a
 
Logistics Coordinator to support our growing team.
 The Logistics Coordinator will ensure maintenance staff, and Drivers are adhering to all Commercial Vehicle Safety Standards. It is also the Logistics Coordinators job to ensure all appropriate CVSA documentation is recorded and handled as per such.  

What You'll Do 

Dispatch: 

  • Communicate with Drivers on projects and daily duties
  • Take calls from drivers regarding break downs, project status, scope change, and challenges 
  • Direct maintenance issues to Shop Foreman and project issues to the Logistics Operations Manager
  • Assist in Managing company Maintenance Program 
  • Assist and ensure the maintenance records for fleet are accurate and up to date 
  • Data entry and ensure accuracy
  • Manage Driver Logbooks (Electronic Log)
  • Train drivers and ensure all fleet operators are utilizing Electronic Logbook App 
  • Review daily logs for errors
  • Monitor hours of service
  • Check DVIR's for any mechanical deficiencies and distribute to Maintenance Coordinator
     

Operator Training: 

  • Conduct driver evaluations as required
  • Provide equipment training
  • Provide training on how to conduct pre-trip inspections

Direct Report: 

  • Drivers

Who You Are 

  • High school or college diploma with a minimum of 5 years' experience in fleet maintenance management
  • Valid Class 1 license with air brake endorsement and clean Driver's Abstract 
  • Ability to manage people and resolve conflict 
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills 
  • Must be able to work well under pressure 
  • Proficient in maintenance tracking software and electronic logs.
