About
- Lead and develop a culture of accountability across the production function
- Ensure effective resource planning to cover planned and unplanned events (absences, holidays, training, breakdowns, etc.)
- Manage and develop the production management team in line with skills matrices and performance development processes
- Lead and support return-to-work meetings, disciplinary, grievance, and investigation processes in line with company procedures
- Organise, chair, and participate in management meetings as required
- Audit management teams to ensure compliance with SOPs, best practice, and operational standards
- Ensure first-line operator maintenance activities are carried out effectively
- Lead and coach accident investigations and corrective action teams
- Manage and maintain risk assessment programmes
- Identify and implement health & safety improvements
- Act as a key member of Fire, First Aid, and Emergency Response systems
- Manage toolbox talks and regular safety briefings
- Actively participate in Health & Safety management meetings
- Support inductions for new management team members
- Identify and implement relevant health & safety training requirements
- Benchmark and drive health & safety best practice
- Monitor quality, delivery, and productivity data, identifying trends and driving improvement
- Ensure corrective action reports (CARs) are raised and closed effectively
- Liaise closely with Quality teams on quality-related issues
- Lead structured problem-solving activities to deliver sustainable solutions
- Identify and implement cost-reduction and continuous improvement initiatives
- Raise capital expenditure requests where equipment or process improvements are identified
- Ensure products are delivered to the next process to achieve 100% On Time In Full (OTIF) performance
- Proven experience in a Production / Manufacturing Management role
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Solid understanding of health & safety, quality, and continuous improvement
- Confident in leading investigations, audits, and improvement projects
- Data-driven with the ability to analyse performance and implement change
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills
- Salary up to £50,000 Depending on experience
