What You’ll Be Doing:

As a Principal Product Safety Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of our products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing expert advice on product safety matters to project and engineering managers, ensuring safety considerations are effectively implemented.
  • Collaborating with third parties to review and gather supporting safety case evidence.
  • Developing comprehensive safety arguments, both physical and functional, using appropriate safety analysis methods.
  • Producing and updating safety case and safety management documentation in line with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Line managing other safety practitioners, fostering a culture of safety excellence.
Your Skills and Experience:

Essential:

  • Proficiency in safety engineering processes, practices, and tools.
  • A clear understanding of safety engineering and assurance principles.
  • Qualified engineers from other disciplines who demonstrate the right behaviors and an understanding of safety engineering are encouraged to apply.

Desirable:

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and manage stakeholders effectively.

The Combat Systems Safety Team:

Join a dynamic team of engineers and technical specialists working on both In-Service and In-Build Combat Systems. You’ll have the chance to develop safety arguments while exploring new technologies and sensor systems.
