Why Choose Us?

At Orange Grove, we believe that strong relationships are the foundation of successful fostering. Founded in 1996 by two dedicated social workers, our mission has always been to nurture connections—whether it's with the children in our care, our foster parents, or local authorities. We invest time and resources into building these relationships because we know they lead to growth and stability.

The Role

We are on the lookout for a passionate and qualified Social Worker who understands the vital role of foster parents. In this collaborative position, you will:

  • Support and supervise foster parents, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed.
  • Engage in quality assurance and training for both prospective and current foster parents.
  • Work closely with children, young people, and various stakeholders to promote the welfare of those in our care.

This is a dynamic role that requires excellent report writing skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines. A full driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential, as travel across the North West will be part of your responsibilities.

What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should possess:

  • A qualification in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
  • Experience in fostering and a solid understanding of relevant regulations and child care law.
  • Outstanding communication skills and a commitment to high-quality practice.
  • Good IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and databases.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
  • Providing direct support to foster parents with a manageable caseload.
  • Conducting regular supervision sessions to monitor compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborating with children, young people, and other professionals to ensure their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
  • Participating in an Out of Hours rota for the Northwest region.
What We Offer

We value our team members and offer a range of benefits, including:

  • £3,000 Car Allowance
  • 30 days Annual Leave (increasing to 35 days with service) + Bank Holidays
  • Company Pension and Life Assurance (x2)
  • Employee Discount Scheme and Medical Cash Plan

At Orange Grove Fostercare, we are proud to be an equal opportunities employer and encourage applications from all qualified candidates. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults, and we expect all staff to share this commitment.
