Contract Type: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract

Salary: Up to Β£38,000 prorated

Contract Term: Part Time

Hours: 24 hours, 3 days per week (9am - 5pm)

Your Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Social Worker to join us on a fixed contract. You will play a vital role in:

  • Recruiting, training, and supervising Foster Parents
  • Promoting the welfare of children placed with us across the West Midlands
  • Delivering high standards of service in line with fostering legislation and practice
What We’re Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A Social Care England recognised qualification in Social Work or equivalent
  • Previous experience as a supervising social worker or working with foster parents
  • A comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and publications related to children's services
  • Excellent people skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Effective planning and prioritisation abilities to meet deadlines
Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Provide direct support to foster parents, ensuring a manageable caseload for high-quality supervision
  • Conduct regular supervision sessions, monitoring compliance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborate with children, young people, foster parents, and other professionals to ensure full participation in safeguarding and child protection processes
About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Calm and composed under pressure, especially in emotionally challenging situations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and databases
  • In possession of a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle
  • Willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check (cost covered by Clifford House Fostering)
