What You’ll Be Doing:As a key player in our team, you will:
- Lead and Inspire: Manage and coordinate the complex delivery of the Test & Commissioning programme.
- Plan and Review: Ensure products are integrated, safe, compliant, and tested within agreed requirements for cost, quality, and schedule.
- Uphold Standards: Maintain compliance with all Test & Commissioning policies and the Operational Framework.
- Engage with Expertise: Participate in the Reactor Test Group and prepare necessary documentation.
- Chair with Authority: Act as the Nuclear Authorisation & Test Evaluation Committee Chairman when needed.
- Develop Talent: Assess and develop team members to maximize their contributions and meet contract requirements.
- Optimize Resources: Enhance capabilities and ensure efficient use of Test & Commissioning resources.
- Drive Efficiency: Review processes to reduce waste and establish a best-in-class capability.
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Capability to hold Duly Authorised Persons appointment for nuclear hold-points.
- Demonstrable experience in Nuclear/Reactor Systems and/or Propulsion Systems Testing & Commissioning (submarine experience preferred).
- Strong leadership skills to control and manage the Commissioning Team effectively.
- Experience in managing delivery to plan and schedule in a similar environment.
- A solid understanding of Nuclear Site Authorisation/Conditions and/or COMAH.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex engineering processes clearly.
- The ability to influence at all levels across the business.
- A comprehensive understanding of technical issues across various engineering disciplines.
- Typically an Incorporated Engineer working towards Chartership and a member of the relevant institute.
- ILM Level 2/3 or CMI Level 3/5.
- An MBA/MSc/Degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

As the Nuclear Reactor Commissioning Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our Test and Commissioning team’s complex projects. You’ll interface with both internal and external stakeholders, making this role perfect for an experienced leader with exceptional interpersonal skills.
