Your Impact:

A Business Process Analyst role at OpenText involves supporting cross-functional projects and analysis within the expanding Engineering organization's PMO Business Process team. This highly visible role partners closely with Finance, R&D leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders to support budgeting, financial reporting, product investment modeling, and ongoing ad-hoc analysis which are critical for business operations. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, excellent business acumen, and the ability to drive process improvements in a complex, fast‑moving environment.

What the role offers:

  • Support the business and finance teams with budgets, monthly financial reviews, and ad-hoc financial analysis.
  • Partner with FP&A and business leaders to ensure alignment on budgets, forecasts, actuals, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare detailed product investment model across all of R&D, including detailed cost allocations, E/R and P&L analysis, collaborate with multiple FP&A teams to consolidate inputs and ensure model accuracy, and present analytical insights and recommendations to R&D leadership.
  • Prepare, review, and support business case submissions for new initiatives or strategic investments.
  • Standardize spend analysis and financial reviews for newly acquired companies and support transitions related to divestitures.
  • Manage approval and escalation workflows for commercial and non‑commercial hyperscaler requests.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, or improve existing processes.
  • Contribute to operational excellence initiatives, driving consistency and efficiency across PMO and Finance functions.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with internal customers across R&D, Finance, and other internal teams.

What you need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CPA/CGA/CMA designation is an asset.
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance or business analysis role, ideally within a technology or fast‑paced corporate environment.
  • Advanced analytical and financial modeling skills; strong business acumen.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to escalate issues appropriately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word; experience with Power BI or Power Query is an asset.
  • Knowledge of FinOps or hyperscaler cost management is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with senior business leaders and influence decision‑making.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex information for executive audiences.
  • Self‑starter with the ability to work independently and lead cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and comfort operating in an evolving, ambiguous environment.
  • High level of personal integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence.

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we're happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range: $63, $103,730.00; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
