What You'll Do
The Quality Control Technician will be responsible for sampling all inventory material and performing minor laboratory activities in both Chemistry and Microbiology laboratory. This is a 6-month contract role.
Here's what you can expect in your role:
To follow instructions and procedures as outlined by the Microbiology Supervisor.
To perform daily sampling of raw materials and purchased items upon receiving.
To perform daily sampling of manufactured items and finished goods upon completion.
To maintain overall sanitation of the sampling booths and their contents.
To maintain quality documentation logs and checklists.
To maintain laboratory tracking system log of sampled goods.
To be able to transition into the chemistry or microbiology laboratory based on Microbiology Supervisor's discretion, performing minor lab testing activities (i.e. Physical testing, media preparation, administration duties).
Working in compliance with the company' s Health & Safety Policies/SOP's including but not limited to the Safety Responsibilities Procedure.
Will comply with Good Manufacturing Practices in all GMP sensitive areas of Jamieson Laboratories Ltd. facilities.
To perform other related duties and projects as assigned.
What You Bring

Your experience and perspective might include:
Ontario Secondary School Diploma required.
Post-Secondary diploma in laboratory sciences an asset.
Ability to input and extract information in a computerized environment.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly.
Strong command of the English language preferred.
Work independently and with minimal supervision.
Able to work shift work and to work overtime to complete projects in a timely fashion as required.
Forklift experience an asset.
Must have own transportation to sample products at Twin Oaks.

Compensation
Jamieson Wellness Inc. offers a competitive total rewards package that goes beyond base pay, including eligibility for our Short-Term Incentive Program and a variety of benefits to support your well-being and professional growth.
For this role, the posting range is $45,700 - $68,500, which reflects the full salary range of the position. The actual salary offered will be determined based on factors such as relevant experience, level of education, and other professional qualifications aligned with the requirements and complexity of this position.
