Role
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
CoolIT Systems, Inc. is looking for a high performing Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role to join our Calgary team.
The primary responsibility of this role is to work with the Engineering, Program, and Product Management teams to develop Direct Liquid Cooling products for computer desktop and Enterprise /OEM customers. The role focuses on custom electronic hardware and firmware development and system integration. From concept, to prototype, to production.

Responsibilities
Review and understand Product & Project Requirements at project kick-off
Follow all documented processes to ensure ISO-9001 compliance standards are met
Conduct and participate in lab testing and verifications
Collaborate with the Test Engineering team to ensure that Regulatory and Environmental compliance standards are met
Support the Manufacturing team with on-site root cause analysis of product failures, requires (in-town) travel from Headquarters to Manufacturing facilities
Travel to worldwide installation facilities to support Professional Services team, rare but required when needed so need to have a valid passport
Create schematics and wiring diagrams
Who You Are
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in a similar role doing PCBA and Firmware design and development.
Initiative and ability to deal with obstacles and drive projects to timely completion with minimum supervision.
Strong knowledge of CEC, NEC and UL safety standards
Strong experience with electrical panel design – power path and control
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (dFMEA), proficiency.
Proficient with Altium Designer and/or AutoCAD Electrical
Skills
Strong critical thinking - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Strong work ethic, motivation to actively solve roadblocks and drive project to completion and positive team attitude with ability for innovative thinking
Strong desire to work in a fast-paced technology company focused on increasing speed-to-market & production efficiency and reducing finished product cost
Strong knowledge of CEC, NEC and UL safety standards
Strong experience with electrical panel design – power path and control
Excellent written and oral communication skills, active participant in internal and external meetings
