We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Advisor – Mine Applications to join our Mine Technical team at Fort Hills. You will support and enhance critical mine systems and applications that drive production optimization, reliability, and safety. This role is pivotal in maintaining and evolving our fleet management, reliability, and safety systems, while also contributing to continuous improvement and technology integration across mining operations.

Minimum Requirements:
Undergraduate degree or diploma in engineering or computer science with 5-7 years of
related work experience
Prior experience with Modular Dispatch, Provision, and/or Minecare is preferred
Strong technical expertise in mine systems and industrial applications
General knowledge of PCN/PIN architecture, IT/OT integration and SQL databases
Proven ability to lead work and collaborate across departments
Commitment to safety, operational discipline, and continuous improvement

Responsibilities:
Administer and optimize the Fleet Management System (Dispatch, Provision, etc)
Administer and optimize the Mine Reliability and Safety applications (Minecare, OAS,etc)
Lead system updates, configuration changes, and system architecture for mine applications
Monitor system and database health, ensuring high availability and performance
Act as a technical liaison with vendors and internal teams, support troubleshooting efforts as required
Collaborate closely with Mine Operations ensuring system reliability and effectiveness
Provide technical leadership on mining technology projects
Drive continuous improvement through system monitoring and innovation
Location and other Key Details:
This position is a fly in fly out, you will work out of our camp-based Fort Hills mining site, located in Alberta's Athabasca region, 90 kilometres north of Fort McMurray, Alberta
The shift schedule is a num 7 days on /7 days off rotation (Wednesday to Tuesday)
Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
