Financial Services Representative

We are growing to better serve our members Souris Credit Union is a community-based full-service financial institution with assets over $136 Million, serving approximately 3500 members.   We pride ourselves on providing outstanding service and professional advice to help our members reach their financial goals. Since 2012, Souris Credit Union has contributed over 4.2 million to our members and the community through patronage rebates, charitable donations, sponsorships, and educational bursaries.

Souris Credit Union is currently accepting applications for the full-time position of Financial Services Representative to provide high quality counter and telephone service to current and prospective member-owners of the credit union.

The Position:

• Provide account services to members in a courteous and professional manner by receiving, processing, and recording financial transactions.
• Inform members of new services and products that may be beneficial to them and direct them to other staff as appropriate.
• Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing organizational and individual goals.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

The Person: The ideal candidate for this position will have completed their High School Diploma and possesses the following skills and abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Previous experience with handling and balancing cash.
  
• Experience and eagerness to provide superior service to our member-owners.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with ability to process information with high levels of accuracy.
• Professional manner and poise and sensitivity in dealing with confidential information and materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, keyboarding, and the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies.
• A passion for lifelong learning.
• As this position will be part of our after-hours ATM call out team, preference will be given to applicants who reside within Souris and surrounding areas.

Compensation and Benefits:
This is a full-time position with a generous benefit package including flexible health and dental plan, sick leave, pension plan with 6% employee/employer contributions, vacation starting at 3 weeks (pro-rated), tuition reimbursement, training, and career progression opportunities. Additional employee benefits include (but are not limited to) annual health care spending and clothing allowances, no service fee banking, reduced rates on employee loans/mortgages and a variable compensation bonus program. 

The salary range for this position is $47,716 to $53,302
