The role:
You will own the creative content engine that:
Translates intricate tech, corporate, and startup subjects into digestible, socially engaging narratives with a distinctive touch.
Curates and manages an engaging, multi-platform brand presence to help us hit our goal of a 100,000+ total audience.
You will sit at the centre of:
Creative Content Direction
Editing (clip finding, videos, podcasts)
Design (slides, workbooks)
Social media (posting, research, caption writing)
You will work closely with Fahd (Founder/CEO), and the Marketing Manager with a team of creative contractors.
Key responsibilities:
1. Creative Content Direction & Strategy
Collaborate with the CEO to craft content strategies and ideas, focusing on sourcing TikTok concepts, Instagram reels, and identifying compelling stories for podcast discussions.
Actively involve yourself in shaping a quarterly cross-functional marketing content strategy, continually enhancing our approach.
Innovate content formats, transforming intricate subjects within the tech, corporate, and startup domains into digestible, socially engaging narratives with a distinctive touch.
Collaborate intensively with team members to brainstorm and materialize novel content concepts through weekly content sprints.
2. Content Production & Editing (Volume & Cadence)
Long-Form Video: Produce, edit, and publish 1 high-quality, long-form YouTube video (5–15 minutes) every week (52 videos/year).
Podcast Production: Edit and distribute 2 podcast episodes per month (24 episodes/year).
Batching & Splintering: Execute a "pillar to micro-content" workflow. You will extract 5 to 10 micro-assets (e.g., 3 short clips, text posts, quote graphics) from every single long-form podcast or keynote.
Manage batch-production days (e.g., filming for one day to produce 30+ micro-videos) to ensure the daily content engine never runs dry.
Execute design tasks, specifically creating presentation slides and workbooks.
3. Social Media Management & Research (Volume & Cadence)
Daily Short-Form Video: Publish 1 short-form video (30–90 seconds) every single day across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook. This requires maintaining a consistent output of 7 Reels per week. With the goal of increasing volume to two short-form videos a day.
Daily LinkedIn: Publish thought-leadership posts every weekday on the Founder's LinkedIn profile and company page.
Schedule and post content at optimal algorithmic times.
Actively engage with the community in the first hour of posting (replying to comments, sparking discussion) to boost algorithm performance and foster relationships.
4. Collaboration & Leadership
Collaborate with the Marketing & Product department to contribute insights and content ideas for enhancing and developing various digital products, aligning content strategies with product objectives.
Supervise talent, collaborate when necessary, a few contractors, potentially including graphic designers and videographers, to bolster content strategy and create visually compelling content.
5. Data, Reporting, and Adaptability
Generate weekly reports to monitor KPIs, offering comprehensive insights and actionable recommendations for content optimization.
Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as directed or modified by the Employer in line with the company's dynamic needs.
You might be a fit if you:
Have proven experience in video editing, content strategy, graphic design, and social media management.
Can think and do: You can craft the strategy, write the script, and edit the final video.
Have a deep understanding of algorithm preferences across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Twitter.
Enjoy long-form ideas and short-form content: You like podcasts and case studies, and you know how to turn them into engaging clips and posts.

Reporting and collaboration
Reports to: Marketing Manager, Collaborated directly with Founder (Fahd)
Works closely with: The Marketing Team and Product department, internal team members, and a team of contractors (designers and videographers).
Compensation & Benefits
We are not looking for a junior order-taker; we are looking for a creative partner who wants to build a media empire and act like an owner. Our compensation structure reflects that expectation.
Base Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 CAD (Commensurate with experience, portfolio, and demonstrated ability to own the content strategy end-to-end).
Performance Bonus: receive 10-15% Bonus on Based. If you hit our goal of growing the Unicorn Labs total audience to 100,000+ and directly support our pipeline.
