We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our team in Seattle, Washington. This critical role ensures that all incoming goods are processed efficiently and accurately, forming the foundation of our inventory management and logistics operations. Your responsibilities will include unloading shipments, meticulously verifying contents against purchase orders and packing slips, inspecting items for any damage, and accurately recording all received items into our system. A keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success. You will collaborate with vendors, drivers, and internal teams to resolve any issues that may arise. Adherence to strict Safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is mandatory. This position involves physical activity, including frequent Lifting, and requires a proactive approach. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from delivery vehicles.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect all incoming products for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately enter received inventory data into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Label and stage goods for efficient put-away.
- Communicate any shipping errors or damages to management promptly.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe receiving area.
- Follow all company Safety policies and procedures, including the required use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory management tasks as needed.
- Perform duties involving regular Lifting of items up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a receiving, warehouse, or inventory control role is strongly preferred. Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting and moving of packages. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory systems. Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced logistics environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. A solid commitment to workplace Safety. Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Experience with material handling equipment is a plus.
