Job Summary:
Join our busy logistics facility as a Receiving Clerk in Baltimore, Maryland! This critical role ensures the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming shipments. You will be responsible for unloading merchandise, verifying quantities against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and properly documenting all received goods. A sharp eye for detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. This position is fundamental to maintaining the integrity of our inventory and supporting our supply chain operations. We are dedicated to a safe working environment and expect all employees to strictly follow safety guidelines, including the appropriate use of PPE and safe lifting techniques. Your accuracy in this role directly impacts our overall logistics success.
Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming freight from trucks and trailers.
  • Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect all incoming shipments for damage and report any discrepancies or issues.
  • Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Label and stage received inventory for distribution or put-away.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE and safe lifting practices.
  • Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
  • Support the efficient flow of goods within the logistics network.
  • Ability to perform manual lifting up to 40 lbs regularly.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in receiving, shipping, or general warehouse operations is preferred.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety best practices, including proper lifting techniques.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift items throughout the shift.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
