Join our dynamic logistics team in Charlotte, North Carolina, as a Picker/Packer. This role is central to our distribution operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for selecting items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications and then carefully packing them for shipment. Your precision and speed are vital for maintaining customer satisfaction and ensuring the smooth flow of goods through our supply chain. You will utilize RF scanners and interact with our Warehouse Management System (WMS) daily. This position involves considerable physical activity, including walking, standing, and lifting. We are dedicated to your safety and provide all necessary PPE. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail and a desire to work collaboratively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are most important. Contribute to our success by ensuring orders are right the first time, every time, and play a key role in our logistics efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners and pick sheets.
- Pack items efficiently and safely into designated shipping containers.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect products for any damage or defects prior to packing.
- Apply shipping labels and any necessary documentation to packages.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Strictly adhere to all company safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Meet established targets for productivity and quality.
- Assist with inventory control procedures, such as cycle counting.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed to ensure seamless logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Comfortable performing tasks that require standing and walking for extended periods.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to following safety guidelines and wearing PPE.
